Join us from 6-8 pm on Saturday, April 12th for the Opening Reception of our “Celebrating The Beatles’ 50th Anniversary” show, featuring photographs of John Lennon by Brian Hamill! We will be displaying Hamill’s iconic photographs from April 5th – April 27th.

“I will always remember John Lennon as a quick-witted, vulnerable, stand-up, soft-spoken but unafraid guy. In my short time hanging with him, he spoke only the truth..He never really got to bring his full genius to all of us, yet he gave us all so much. He will be missed forever. IMAGINE?” – Brian Hamill

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Brian Hamill was born in Brooklyn, NY and studied photography at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He began his career in the mid-1960s as a photojournalist, covering Rock & Roll, politics, entertainment, movie sets, sports, fashion, and even the Troubles in Northern Ireland for The New York Times Magazine. His “Tests of Time” collection features photographs of such iconic celebrities as John Lennon, Muhammad Ali, Mick Jagger, Tina Turner, Robert DeNiro, Woody Allen, Robert Downey Jr., and many more. His other collections include the “Troubles in Northern Ireland – 1972,” Rock & Roll, boxing, travel photographs from around the world, and a collection of nudes from the 1970s. With over 45 years as a photographer, Hamill has amassed an amazingly colorful collection of stories to complement his many photographs. Woody Allen said of him: “His currency is knowledge, information, connections, street smarts. There’s not a person he doesn’t know or he doesn’t have the skinny on or know about, not a restaurant, not a broad – it’s really quite astonishing.” His fine art photography is available for purchase from limited edition sets and his fine art prints are represented in numerous private collections throughout the US and Europe. Hamill, who is a self-proclaimed “devoted and fiercely loyal New Yorker,” still lives in New York City.
